Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland issued the following statement tonight regarding the results of the primary election for Washington’s 10th Congressional District:

“It is an honor to be chosen again by South Sound voters to move forward to the general election this November. I am proud to represent Washington’s 10th Congressional District, and I am grateful to my supporters who made phone calls, knocked on doors, talked to their neighbors, and voted.

“I will continue to be the South Sound’s voice in Congress because our region needs a representative who will stand up for our district, and work to make our communities more safe, more just, and more secure.

“I’ve heard from our community, and I will work to lower the cost of health care and prescription drugs, support our active-duty military members and their families, advocate for the needs of small businesses, fight for our veterans, address climate change, and protect women’s reproductive freedom.

“Our region also needs someone who will work across party lines to create good-paying jobs, strengthen the supply chain, and rebuild our infrastructure. I’m proud to work on behalf of the South Sound and put forward bipartisan solutions to our nation’s biggest challenges.

“Over the next three months, I look forward to discussing the issues that matter most to the people of the South Sound.

“Thank you! Now let’s keep working for a nation that is more safe, more just, and more secure for all people.”
